Holly Hunter, an American film and actress, is renowned for her roles in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. The actress won numerous awards, including an Oscar for the film Piano. Actresses have a long experience of performing on Broadway, Off-Broadway and other initiatives. From the time she was a child she's been passionate about acting. She portrayed Helen Keller as a fifth-grade pupil in a school performance. Mumps caused her to be blind and deaf in one ear. However, she did not allow this to hinder her ambitions of becoming an actor. While in college, she studied drama and moving into New York City with her ambitions in mind. She was introduced to Beth Henley in an elevator and they collaborated in Broadway Crimes of the Heart which was Hunter's debut film. When she moved to Los Angeles, she began looking for roles in films. Her first film role was as an actress supporting the lead character of Swing Shift. In the last three decades she's appeared in many TV and film shows. Holly Hunter won a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and also her Women in Film Lucy Award.
